With 2007 being the wettest on record farmers are having to look to other methods when spraying.
With ground based tractor spraying ruled out by soft saturated ground conditions aerial spraying by helicopter becomes an attractive proposition.

As with Bracken spraying the secret of success is planning and organisation.
The choice of products approved for aerial spraying these days is limited unlike 20 years ago. Maybe more need to be tested and approved if summers continue to be very wet at critical times.
